Art Mad is a fellowship of artists working in various media who gather at Stittsville Public Library for shared studio space on Friday afternoons from September until June. We do not offer lessons or supplies but enjoy creating art and sharing ideas on our own works. Friday 9 December sees our last painting session of the year in the meeting room of Stittsville Library. We resume on Friday January 6 after the holiday break, and look forward to a busy year, with another Library Art Wall show in March, and the possibility of a new venture: a display in the Amberwood Golf Course Art Gallery in the Fall.
Our Christmas Celebration Lunch takes place on Friday 16 December at The Glen.

The Fall session of regular meetings at Stittsville Public Library begin on Friday 9 September from 1pm to 4pm. Members of the public are welcome to come in and meet us.
17 August: Plein Air, Pinhey’s Point
Perfect weather, attendance of eight painters and sketchers including guest artist Stephany Castilla, and lunch at the Heart @ Soul Cafe in Dunrobin all ensured a very enjoyable session.

We reconvene at the Library at 1pm on Friday 9th September. Members of the public are welcome to join us on a regular or occasional basis (such as plein air sessions), space permitting. For more information, please refer to the contact names above.
We plan to hold some plein air sessions in July and August. We shall also be displaying our new work at the Library Art Wall for the month of October.
Our annual end-of-year luncheon was cause for a double celebration: our tenth anniversary , and also the pleasure of painting together in person again at Stittsville Public Library after over two years of pandemic wilderness.

Current Hopes and Plans
We hope to return to Friday afternoon indoor meetings at Stittsville Public Library once the Meeting Room becomes available again.
In the meantime, we plan to hold further plein air sessions on Friday afternoons for as long as the weather permits.

Art group members took advantage of a fine sunny afternoon at the Village Square, which offers a variety of historical buildings and more modern homes as well as the log cabin.
