24th August: Plein Air, Richmond

This month’s plein air took place at a dairy farm in Richmond, where we were hosted by Sara’s niece. It proved a very successful visit, starting with a tour of the farm and providing a variety of subjects to paint.

The Turkish restaurant in Richmond provided an interesting menu and excellent service.

17th July Plein Air Spencerville

Our second time holding a plein air in Spencerville, on this occasion at Gerry’s beautiful place. It was a great location: plenty of garden scenes and even a neighbour’s barn over the road to choose from.

It was also an ideal location for our potluck lunch, with loads of tasty items to complement Gerry’s BBQ hot dogs.

The 2023/24 year now over, plans are in the making for a plein air mid-July and another mid-August, before we regroup at Stittsville Public Library on Friday 6 September for the coming 2024/25 year.

We celebrated the end of another successful year with a group luncheon at Amberwood Lounge and Eatery on Friday 21 June.

Spring Session, April 5 to June 14

With returnees from the Winter, we are now at capacity and back in the regular meeting room at Stittsville Library, the renovations there being now complete. Many thanks to the Library for accommodating us in the Study Room during that time.

Our art work is now at Munster Library for the whole of April, with several new paintings on show. Munster Library hours are: Mon/Wed 10am – 3pm, Tues/Thurs 3pm – 8pm, Sat 10am – 2pm, Fri/Sun Closed.

Our Friday meetings are now in full swing. The group's latest display is currently on the Stittsville library wall and is on show for the whole of March.

 ArtMad Artists End of Year Christmas Lunch

Celebrating an enjoyable and successful year of regular Friday meetings, plein air sessions, three shows and an increasing membership. 

The show at Munster Public library is on until December 30th - still time to see it and make a purchase too! A work of art makes an ideal Christmas present!

Reminder : the first meeting of 2024 will be on Friday, 5th of January.
